On March 15th, the University of Georgia will host a presentation of a new project - "Technology Transfer Center".

The goal of the center is to commercialize scientific University and country-wide scientific research.

The meeting will be attended by representatives of the governmental and the business sector, as well as scientists from various research institutions.

The Center of Technology Transfer (CTT) is planning active cooperation with the business sector and is going to carry out surveys in innovations. According to the surveys center of science and technology to create innovative product and service specialists participation.

The center will actively promote the commercialization of science and cooperation of students in business administration and related spheres to generate new Startups.

The center will be seeking to research the local scientific discovery and promote and support commercialization through international markets. The center will cooperate to promote the commercialization of innovations with international systems, such as Nine Sigma, Yet2.com, Innocentive. These systems make ncesessary orders from world's leading companies (P & G, Philips, Uniliver, Simens Electrolux, GlaxoSmithKline).

The center also provides consulting to support science and start-ups in security of intellectual property.

Technology transfer center has already started cooperation with the business sector to identify problems that can be addressed with the participation of Georgian scientists. The process is ongoing in agricultural and livestock sectors.
