FuturePR 2024 is an international student project jointly organized by the European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA) and the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO). The initiative aimed to provide young professionals with practical experience in the context of modern communication challenges.
Students from various universities across Europe, Asia, and the Americas participated in the project, working in international and interdisciplinary teams. Over a four-week online program, participants worked under the guidance of mentors on a real communication brief focused on media literacy and disinformation.
Students from the University of Georgia’s Bachelor’s Program in Strategic Communications took part in the project, and their work received top evaluations from the jury. The jury was composed of representatives from leading universities, including Erasmus University Rotterdam, St. John’s University (USA), Leeds Beckett University, University of Lisbon, University of Barcelona, and others.
The project included intensive learning sessions, workshops, team assignments, and presentations. It helped students develop key skills such as strategic thinking, teamwork, creativity, time management, and the ability to work on real-world communication campaigns.
