The Department of Politics and International Relations organized a Crisis Response Simulation Training from December 1 to 3, 2021, in partnership with NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division (NATO PDD) and the Georgian Strategic Analysis Center (GSAC). The project aimed to provide practical assessment of national resilience and crisis response mechanisms through the joint participation of students and government officials.
The training simulation consisted of two phases:
Phase I: A 40-hour intensive training covering the legal, managerial, and communication aspects of crisis response.
Phase II: A two-day crisis scenario simulation followed by analysis of the results on the third day.
Participants included undergraduate and graduate students from the Department of Political Science and International Relations, students from other universities, and representatives from relevant government agencies (totaling 20 participants). At the conclusion of the project, the best participants were selected and awarded, including a one-week visit to EU and NATO institutions in Brussels.
