The Department of Psychology is actively working on deepening professional education and developing students' practical skills. To this end, from November 2024 to April 2025, a series of professional training sessions was conducted for students of the University of Georgia’s Department of Psychology. This initiative was carried out under a memorandum of cooperation with the Mental Health Center Medens Health Georgia and organized by the Psychological Services and Analytics Center Kontakt.
The trainings aimed to:

Develop professional competencies based on psychotherapeutic approaches for undergraduate and graduate psychology students;

Promote mental health care and psychological well-being;

Enhance practical skills grounded in real clinical experience.
The training program consisted of 10 contact hours and was delivered in small group formats. Participants worked on specially designed practical modules that integrated theoretical knowledge with simulation and analytical components.
Upon successful completion of the training, participants were awarded certificates jointly issued by Medens Health Georgia and Kontakt. Activities of this kind embody one of the university’s main priorities — enriching academic instruction through substantive content deepening and integration with real-world practice.
