From May 13th through May 17th, the School of Health Science of the University of Georgia and National Center for Disease Control and Public Health will host various activities dedicated to the European Public Health Week, which strives is to facilitate and activate a strong voice of the public health network by strengthening the capacity of public health professionals.

Day of Physical Activity
Students of the University of Georgia will perform various physical activities, such as: rehabilitation trainings, demonstration of Karate Art, movement around the lake.

Public Lecture on: "Problem of Public Health:Results of Multiple Cluster Survey"
Public lecture will be led by Lela Sturua, Head of Non-Disease Department of National Center of Disease.

May 16th
Meeting on: “Importance of Healthy Nutrition” and Public Lecture: "Role of Healthy Nutrition"
Within the framework of the meeting, various healthy foods will be presented; students will have the opportunity to find out their mass index and receive information about healthy nutrition.

The European Public Health Association (EUPHA) will host The European Public Health Week. EUPHA is an international, multidisciplinary, scientific organization, bringing together around 19 000 public health experts for professional exchange and collaboration throughout Europe.
The only member of EUPHA from Georgia is the University Georgia. The membership is important for deepening relations with international partners and forming public health system.
