The European Journalism Teaching Association (EJTA) and the University of Georgia jointly organize an international conference on "Media and Trust: Teaching Journalism Students How to Work with Trustworthy Sources and Deal with Untrustworthy Media Environments". The conference will be held on October 12-13-14 at the University of Georgia and Hotel "Rooms", at 10 am. 

The conference will discuss editorial independence and self-censorship, how to strengthen professional standards in journalism education, how to ensure independent functioning of media outlets; How to maintain an independent media in an unreliable environment; The role of media education in improving society's resilience to disinformation, etc. 

About 50 foreign journalists and media educators from different European countries are participating in the conference.
