Media and Trust: Teaching Journalism Students How to Work with Trustworthy Sources and Deal with Untrustworthy Media Environments

The European Journalism Teaching Association (EJTA) and the University of Georgia jointly organize an international conference on "Media and Trust: Teaching Journalism Students How to Work with Trustworthy Sources and Deal with Untrustworthy Media Environments". The conference will be held on October 12-13-14 at the University of Georgia and Hotel "Rooms", at 10 am

 

The conference will discuss editorial independence and self-censorship, how to strengthen professional standards in journalism education, how to ensure independent functioning of media outlets; How to maintain an independent media in an unreliable environment; The role of media education in improving society's resilience to disinformation, etc. 

 

About 50 foreign journalists and media educators from different European countries are participating in the conference.
