On 26th of December, School of Health Sciences of the University of Georgia invites all the interested individuals to attend the public lecture - Way from Student to Doctor.
Lecture will be conducted by Tamar Vashakmadze, MD, Facility Medical Director of Inpatient Medicine Program at West Florida Hospital. Dr. Vashakmadze is a graduate of Tbilisi State Medical University in Tbilisi, Georgia, class 1994. She completed her Medical Residency and Hospital Medicine Fellowship programs in Columbus, Ohio , USA in 2010. Post graduation she worked as a Hospitalist Physician and subsequently became a Hospitalist Program Medical Director at Atrium Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Vashakmadze also completed a one-year post-graduate program in Healthcare Management from the Right State University in Dayton, Ohio. Since 2016, she leads the Hospitalist Medicine Department at West Florida Hospital, in Pensacola, Florida, USA. Dr. Vashakmadze has also devoted a considerable part of her life to humanitarian work. She holds a master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Columbia University in NYC, NY.
