Interactive Design Workshop at the University of Georgia

On September 5, the University of Georgia (UG) invites you to a public lecture and Interactive Design Workshop.

As part of the workshop, participants will explore the city from the perspective of pedestrians and cyclists. Following a theoretical session, they will observe and analyze real urban spaces, identify existing challenges, and develop creative ideas for creating a more sustainable and people-centered urban environment.

The workshop will be led by Osamu Okamura — architect, urbanist, lecturer, Director of the Czech Centre Tbilisi, and author of “City for Everyone: A Manual of Urbanism for Beginners.”

Throughout the workshop, participants will discuss transportation and traffic-related challenges, the state of public spaces, environmental pollution, the privatization of urban space, the lack of affordable housing, abandoned buildings, and other local urban challenges.
