The University of Georgia is launching a Cybersecurity and AI Hackathon aimed at creating an innovative platform for discovering and developing AI-driven cybersecurity tools. As cybersecurity and artificial intelligence continue to be among the fastest-growing and most strategic fields globally, the event brings together students, young developers, researchers, and tech enthusiasts to showcase their AI-based cybersecurity products and prototypes.
The hackathon will take place in three stages. During the application phase, participants will submit descriptions of their tools, including functionality and relevance to cybersecurity. From these, the top 20 projects will be selected to compete in the final stage.
The final event will be held on June 8 at the University of Georgia in Tbilisi and will include a project exhibition, team presentations, and an awards ceremony. Each finalist team will have 15 minutes to present their project, followed by a Q&A session with the jury.
Three main winners will be announced, with additional special awards from partner organizations. The hackathon also emphasizes strong industry involvement, offering participants opportunities to connect with IT professionals and explore potential collaborations.
