Technovation Girls 2026

7 November 2025

The University of Georgia has become the official host of the international educational program Technovation Girls 2026. This initiative aims to promote the engagement and empowerment of girls in the field of technology. The project brings together school students, mentors, and education professionals around one goal – to open the world of technology to girls and help them become future leaders.

The program begins with the selection of mentors, who will lead the new season of Technovation Girls Georgia. Mentors guide participants in researching community challenges, learning new skills, planning projects, and developing technological solutions. By April 2026, the teams will work on creating their projects, which they will present to a panel of judges in May. The winning projects from Georgia will then be evaluated by an international jury, which will select the global finalists. The best teams, along with their mentors, will take part in an international technology camp.

Girls aged 13 to 18 can participate in the program in two age categories:

  • 13–15 years old

  • 16–18 years old

Technovation Girls is a globally recognized program that has been successfully implemented for 16 years in more than 80 countries. It brings together tens of thousands of girls who learn programming, technological product development, and the realization of innovative ideas.

As part of the competition, participants strive to transform local challenges into technological solutions — creating mobile applications or artificial intelligence prototypes, developing business plans, and competing in the global contest.

The program is being held in Georgia for the sixth time, and this year, the University of Georgia is its official host. The program’s partners are Idea Design Group and the Laboratory of Exact and Natural Sciences Teachers.

It is noteworthy that in 2022, 550 girls registered for the program, and Georgia ranked 10th in the world by the number of participants. Moreover, teams from Pharisa and Tsageri schools won the European Regional Award in the Junior category. The project received the Grace Hopper Award as the best initiative for women’s technological empowerment. In 2023, the project already had 700 participants.

Professionals from the fields of technology, management, design, business, or education who wish to share their knowledge and experience can register as mentors for Technovation Girls Georgia.

The deadline for mentor registration is November 20, 2025.
