The University of Georgia is a supporter of Georgia’s national robotics team, which will compete at RoboChallenge 2026 in Bucharest from October 30 to November 2. For the first time, Georgia will be represented at the international championship by a national team consisting of three teams and 12 participants.
RoboChallenge is one of Europe’s largest international robotics competitions, bringing together participants from more than 40 countries. The Georgian young engineers will compete in the Mega Sumo, Mini Sumo, and Line Follower categories, testing their engineering knowledge and practical skills in an international competitive environment.
Georgia’s national team was selected based on the results of the Georgian STEAM and Robotics Championship, organized by the Georgian Robotics Association (GRA) in Tbilisi on June 20, 2026. The three teams that won the SUMO robotics competition earned the right to represent Georgia at the international championship.
The University of Georgia’s support contributes to the technological development of young people, the practical application of engineering skills, and the strengthening of Georgia’s representation in the international technology arena.
