Centers and laboratories
The simulation hospital is outfitted with state-of-the-art medical-educational simulators, versatile mannequins, and a comprehensive array of medical equipment. Within this meticulously designed environment, students are exposed to a diverse spectrum of medical scenarios, encompassing routine patient care as well as complex emergency situations. These scenarios often feature simulated patients, played by actors or advanced mannequins, with a primary objective of replicating real-life conditions as closely as possible.
This immersive setting empowers students to translate their theoretical knowledge into practical applications, fostering the development of critical thinking abilities, effective communication skills, and the enhancement of clinical decision-making proficiency. In a milieu that closely mirrors real-world healthcare settings, students acquire hands-on practical skills including patient care, infection control, peripheral venous catheterization, bladder catheterization, intubation, auscultation of lung and cardiac sounds, wound care, emergency recognition, and a plethora of other essential competencies.
The simulation hospital is subdivided into three distinct functional domains: manipulation, obstetrics, and gynecology, and the main hospital unit with its dedicated training area. Here, students practice patient and mannequin manipulation and analyze and evaluate procedures and task performance through methods such as video recordings and real-time online transmission, facilitating a comprehensive and practical learning experience.
