On June 11, the University of Georgia hosted a Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hackathon. The project aims to create an innovative platform for the discovery and development of AI-based cybersecurity tools.
During the hackathon, participants presented cybersecurity products and prototypes developed using artificial intelligence. In the first stage, the teams described the ideas, functionality and significance of their tools and in the next stage, they presented their projects to the jury.
The winning project was Heimdall. The team members: Vano Mamporia and Mate Bliadze were awarded special prizes on behalf of the University of Georgia.
The projects were evaluated by a five-member jury, which included: the Head of the Department of Informatics at the University of Georgia, Sulkhan Sulkhanishvili, professors of University of Georgia: Giorgi Pirveli, David Bitmalkishev and Nika Katsia, as well as a representative of Silk Cloud, Lasha Chabashvili.
The hackathon partner was Silk Cloud, a technology company that provides organizations with modern cloud and cybersecurity services.
