Representatives from The University of Georgia Participated in the Mid-Term Conference on Community Engagement in Sierra Leone
The Mid-Term Conference on Community Engagement, hosted by Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, took place on October 21, 2025. The event was organized as part of the Erasmus+ project titled “Enhancing Capacities for Sustainable Community Engagement: Cases of Georgia and Sierra Leone (ENHANCE-GSL)”.
Apart from the conference 3 day training for Sierra Leonean partners took place. Training sessions were conducted by Slovak and Croatian partners, focusing on strengthening institutional and community engagement practices.
The ENHANCE-GSL project aims to raise awareness of community engagement within society and to strengthen university capacities for supporting community-based initiatives in the beneficiary countries. The project unites two countries—Georgia and Sierra Leone—with diverse cultural and social contexts but a shared commitment to fostering
community-oriented education and sustainable development. For more information visit: https://enhance.ug.edu.ge/en
