Within the Erasmus + ENHANCE-GSL project, the University of Georgia (UG) implemented 15 community engagement activities, exceeding the original target of four. These initiatives translated the knowledge and skills gained through project training into practical action, strengthening cooperation between the university and local communities.
Led by university staff and involving students, schools, community groups and other stakeholders, the activities addressed a range of educational, social, health, gender and community development needs. They provided opportunities to apply academic knowledge to real-life challenges and respond to local community needs.
The results were showcased during the ENHANCE-GSL Final Conference on 29 September 2026, where a poster session presented community engagement activities implemented by the University of Georgia and other project partner universities.
The experience and partnerships developed through ENHANCE-GSL will support the continued development of community engagement beyond the project’s lifetime.
