From June 19 to 21, 2026, Tbilisi once again hosted one of the region’s largest technology events – Global Tech Weekend Tbilisi 2026 (GTWT), bringing together technology ecosystems from the Caucasus and Central Asia.
This year’s event was held on an unprecedented scale, attracting nearly 20,000 local and international visitors, more than 200 speakers, over 150 companies, and 300+ investors. The main conference took place on June 20 at Factory Tbilisi, where industry leaders discussed the latest technological challenges and innovations across five stages.
The University of Georgia (UG) actively participated in GTWT 2026 with its own exhibition stand, showcasing its technology programs, innovative educational approaches, and career opportunities. The university also organized a technology quiz, which attracted significant interest and revealed two winners.
