On September 30, the University of Georgia hosted its graduates at Factory Tbilisi. The graduation ceremony brought together alumni from all academic levels: bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs.
Graduation 2026 welcomed nearly 1,000 guests, including graduates and their family members. The university's presidents, Giuli Alasania and Manana Sanadze, along with Rector Konstantine Topuria, addressed the attendees with congratulatory speeches.
During the ceremony, Manana Tandasvili, a distinguished Georgian linguist, Professor at Goethe University Frankfurt, and Head of its Center for Georgian Studies, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Manana Sanadze in recognition of her academic achievements.
The event also featured an inspiring speech by honorary speaker Giorgi Kanchaveli, a University of Georgia graduate from the class of 2009 and currently a leader in digital business development at TBC Bank. He congratulated the graduates and wished them success in their future careers.
