On 30^th of July, the University of Georgia hosted a graduation ceremony for graduates of class 2019. The event was dedicated to inseparable region of Georgia- Abkhazia and it was mentioned that 20% of Georgia is occupied. The evening was full of memories and lovely moments.

This year’s honorary speaker of the commencement ceremony was finalist of the Global Teacher Prize and the winner of National Teachers Award- Mr. Lado Apkhazava.

One of the highlight of the ceremony was conferment of Doctor Hornois Causa upon famous Georgian Actor and Singer Mr. Vakhtang “Buba” Kikabidze.

The University of Georgia awarded three graduating students with the highest and identical GPA with a complete package of the 2 day tour in Kakheti.

Its worth to mention that the money that was paid in renting or buying the cap and gown will be donated to Veriko Gogidze, mother of 3 children who is fighting against the heavy disease.

The event ended with traditional throwing cap and fireworks.
