Public Lecture “What We Need to Know About Mental Health”

On March 22, the School of Health Sciences and Public Health of the University of Georgia will host the public lecture "What We Need to Know about Mental Health”. Lecture will be conducted by the specialist of mental health Mr. Giorgi Donadze.

Lecture will focus on the following issues: What is mental health? - definition of the term, general facts and myths about mental health; Historical perspectives; Main types of psychological disorders; Bio-psycho-social model; Mental health statistics; Sensitivity to the involvement of the mind in the process of body cure; Key messages: how to prevent mental health and how to help those who need our help; Responsible coverage of the mental health topic in the media.

Lecture will be conducted in Georgian. Free admission
