Public Lecture on “Medical Anthropological Aspects of Public Health”
On 19th of May, the University of Georgia hosed a public lecture on “Medical Anthropological Aspects of Public Health”.
Following issues were discussed:
- What is health and what is diseases;
- Western biomedicine;
- Anthropological methods;
- History of humanitarian aid;
- Biological citizenship and ethics of research.
Guest speaker was the Director of the SOCO Foundation, former first lady of Georgia – Mrs. Sandra Roelofs.
