Crisis Response Simulation at the University of Georgia

The School of Social Sciences of the University of Georgia has hosted for the second time a crisis management training simulation, where master's and graduate students, with a pre-written scenario, participated in crisis management training.

The project envisaged, on the one hand, the joint involvement and participation of undergraduate and graduate students, and, on the other hand, representatives of relevant government agencies in terms of crisis response. As part of the project, participants gained in-depth knowledge and deepened their competence on a number of important thematic issues in crisis response over the course of one month.

At the end of the project, participants were evaluated on the basis of pre-established criteria and the best were selected from their ranks, who were rewarded with various gifts (including a week-long trip to Brussels to get acquainted with the EU and NATO institutions).

The simulation project was conducted with the support of the Georgian Strategic Analysis Center (GSAC), the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia and The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tbilisi.
