Talk Lab – A Project for Aspiring Public Speakers in Zugdidi

On July 6 , Talk Lab, a project organized by the Mental Wellbeing House "Medegi" with the support of the University of Georgia, was held in Zugdidi for high school students.

The project aimed to identify aspiring public speakers, encourage young people to prepare speeches on topics of interest to their generation, and develop their public speaking skills.

As part of the training, participants competed against one another by delivering engaging and memorable speeches within a limited timeframe. The event also featured a training session titled "Public Speaking Techniques," led by Maia Ghubeladze, the University of Georgia's Zugdidi Coordinator.

At the end of the event, participants: Elene Gogokhia, Mariam Meskhia, Mariam Kajaya, Nutsi Rostobaia, Mariam Sartania, Antusa Basilishvili, and Elene Kemularia were awarded certificates and received commemorative gifts from the University.

Projects like Talk Lab, particularly those implemented in regional communities, play an important role in helping young people shape their career aspirations and take their first steps toward their professional future. The University of Georgia is proud to support local youth initiatives that empower the next generation through education, personal development, and career orientation.
