Tech Job Fair

On May 4, at the University of Georgia, a Tech Job Fair was organized by the Career Development and Employment Service to support the growth of the IT sector and promote students’ career advancement.

During the event, students met with representatives of technology companies including IT Craft, Syntax, EPAM Systems, ISSP, Tegeta Motors, and Huawei. These companies presented employment and professional development opportunities. The forum brought together representatives of the technology industry and future professionals in one space. Participating companies introduced their activities, current vacancies, and internship opportunities. At the same time, students had the chance to meet potential employers in person and learn about the real demands of the labor market in this field.

“It is important for us that students have direct access to industry representatives. This helps them better understand their career paths and labor market requirements. At the same time, it is an opportunity for companies to discover new talent. Therefore, it is important for students to actively attend such forums and be able to present themselves,” said the Head of the Career Development and Employment Service, Nika Inauri

According to Zuka Chkonia, Commercial Director of ISSP, the company actively supports students in gaining practical experience: “We work in the fields of information and cybersecurity. We are always ready to offer students and graduates opportunities for development and practical experience, which will help them in their professional growth.”

The Tech Job Fair once again highlighted the importance of strengthening the connection between education and industry—a process that lays the foundation for preparing competitive professionals. At the University of Georgia, similar events will continue in the future to provide students with more career development opportunities.

“The university actively gives us opportunities to participate in such events. Today, I presented my CV to several companies, including IT Craft and Syntax. This is a valuable experience for me, and most importantly, it is a very effective approach that the employment forum is sector-specific and allows us to establish direct communication,” said Lana Balashvili, a Strategic Communications student at the University of Georgia.
