The School of Science and Technology of The University of Georgia became partner of CyberEDU project that aims to create a sustainable network to foster internationalization of academic cooperation in the area of education in the field of cyber-security of Industrial Control Systems. The project aims to support the creation of cyber-security related educational programs in partner countries - programs based on modern, practical knowledge - that will in turn create a a network of high level professionals in the field. Thus, future cyber-security specialists will receive up-to-date innovative knowledge.
The project is financed by the grants received from the Swidish Institute, in the framework of academic collaboration in the Baltic Sea region and NATO Partnership, as well as Cooperative Security Committee (PCSC). The Swedish Institute (SI) offers funding to Swedish universities for projects together with their partners in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
Georgian Research and Educational Networking Association GRENA is also a partner of the project.
