Youth Meetings with Diplomatic Representatives
During youth meetings held with the Ambassadors of the United Kingdom, Romania, and Lithuania, international cooperation initiatives were discussed. As part of these meetings, students from public and private schools in Kutaisi had the opportunity to receive first-hand information about the University of Georgia, its academic programmes, and educational opportunities.
Another key activity was a discussion organized by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), focusing on the situation of civil society, active citizens, and young people in Kutaisi and the wider region, as well as the importance of civic engagement and cooperation among local stakeholders.
The Regional Representative’s active participation in these events contributes to increasing the University of Georgia’s visibility in the Imereti region and creates opportunities for direct communication with prospective students and other interested audiences. Furthermore, such meetings encourage the exchange and development of various initiatives that are valuable, educational, and relevant to local young people.
