As part of the Student Festival, the University of Georgia Theatre Troupe won third place and was awarded the bronze medal.
The team, composed of University of Georgia students and led by UG student Linda Davitadze, presented a one-act play titled "Echo", which earned the appreciation of the jury and secured third place in the competition.
Notably, this was the first year that the University of Georgia participated in the festival in this category. For the students — Tekla Iakobadze, Tekla Kankia, Giorgi Bolkvadze, Mariam Kashia, and Lizi Kvachadze — this marked their first steps into the world of theatre.
One of the festival’s key requirements was that each performance should not exceed ten minutes in length. Through the play "Echo", the University of Georgia troupe portrayed the story of a nineteen-year-old girl coping with the tragic loss of her parents, while those around her attempt to help her return to reality.
