With the organization of the Career Development and Employment Service of the University of Georgia, a training series titled “5 Steps Toward Employment” was held. Within the framework of the training, students had the opportunity to receive practical advice on the following components:
It is noteworthy that the trainings were conducted for both Georgian and international students. Participants were given the opportunity to attend simulated job interviews and test themselves in real-life scenarios. The training series was led by Rusudan Kintsurashvili, Human Resources Manager at Gepra, and Mariam Janjaria, Head of the Human Capital Department at the University of Georgia.
Among the sessions, the training “LinkedIn as a Tool for Employment” was particularly relevant, as this platform is currently the most actively used in the job market for talent recruitment. Therefore, it is important for a personal LinkedIn profile to meet modern standards so that the relevant algorithm can accurately match candidates with employers, and vice versa.
The Career Development and Employment Center of the University of Georgia continuously organizes similar interactive meetings with students and, through both individual and group sessions, consistently offers support in helping students develop and showcase their career skills.
