UG Science Club within EUPHA week
Within the European Public Health Week, UG Science Club & UG School of Health Sciences offered a series of events
A seminar on Mental Health and Covid-19 was organized by the Science Club of the University of Georgia on May 18th.
The seminar was led by the lecturer of the University of Georgia, psychologist Nino Aroshidze. She highlighted the trend towards a sharp rise in cases of depression, substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in the early stages of the pandemic, as well as the stress and anxiety that has affected children and adults during distance learning.
During the webinar, photos and videos prepared by the students of the University of Georgia at the UG school were used.
On May 19th, within the EUPHA Week,
UG Science Club representatives, along with locals and volunteers, cleaned up the Black Sea coastline.
Science Club of the University of Georgia closed the EUPHA Week with a seminar about waste management opportunities and challenges on May 20th.
