UG Start Up Factory - Demo Day

On June 17, the University of Georgia’s Innovation Center – UG StartUp Factory hosted its annual Demo Day and Educational Conference at Holiday Inn Tbilisi, bringing together students, startup founders, business leaders, and innovation ecosystem representatives.

The event opened with keynote talks and a panel discussion on emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, the future of work, and the role of universities in addressing modern challenges.

The second part of the event featured the Demo Day of UG StartUp Factory’s pre-acceleration program, where 12 finalist teams presented their startup ideas to a jury and audience. Five winning teams received a total of GEL 50,000 in funding from the University of Georgia Investment Fund to further develop their projects.

The winning startups were:

• SecreTable – a platform connecting tourists with local hosts for authentic Georgian dining experiences.
• Solution 86 – a digital procurement platform for the HoReCa industry and distributors.
• Campaign – an AI-powered marketing operations platform that unifies data and campaign management.
• Flexi– a digital operating system for gyms, integrating memberships, bookings, payments, and customer retention tools.
• AI IA Labs – developer of GamIA, an educational platform that enhances children's language, logical thinking, and creativity through interactive learning.

The event highlighted UG StartUp Factory’s mission to help students and young entrepreneurs transform innovative ideas into viable businesses through its two-month pre-acceleration program focused on Lean methodology, customer validation, MVP development, and investor readiness.
