University of Georgia's School of Law, Georgian, German and International Criminal Law, Human Rights University Week 2018 was selected for the competition "Human Rights in European Criminal Law" to take part in the workshop. The Universal Week of Human Rights Week in December Vintage. It aims to spread awareness about human rights issues in students and young people and is an active exchange of ideas and opinions about human rights law through co-operation of universities.
The workshop was conducted on December 8-9, 2018. During the course were discussed both material and procedural-legal issues, EU's criminal justice, rights of victims, presumption of innocence and European criminal law, principle of publicity and the effects of European law, as well as important aspects of Georgian criminal law .
