Lika Leshkasheli received her Master’s degree in Molecular Immunology and Applied Microbiology and PhD in Biology from Tbilisi State University. Lika is employed as a scientist in the Laboratory of Molecular Biology at George Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology, and Virology. She has authored and co-authored 26 theses and 6 scientific publications. She is trained for work in BSL3 laboratories. In the frames of different international collaborations at ELiava Institute, she has conducted her work at Berkley Laboratory (USA), at Marine Research Centre (Greece), at the University of Hohenheim (Germany). In 2017 she has conducted laboratory training for the course “Microbial Biotechnology”. In the years 2018-2019, she trained the attendees of a summer school organized by George Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology, and Virology, where she helped the students develop practical microbiological skills.
