Mariam Shermazanashvili is an Orientalist, Master of Turkish Philology. In 2020, she graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Georgia, and the following year continued her studies at the Faculty of Turkish Philology at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. She has a Master's degree. In 2023, Mariam received a fully funded Türkiye Bursları scholarship from the Turkish government, as a result of which she continues her studies at Ataturk University, in the doctoral program in Turkish Language and Literature. Mariam has completed a Turkish language course at Recep Tayyip Erdogan University in Rize, Turkey.
