Nanuka Kruashvili - invited lecturer - is leading the class on Public International Law.
Ms Kruashvili is a public international law lawyer specializing in transitional justice, rule of law, democratization and human rights. Currently, she is a Director of the Democratic Institutions Support Program at the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association and an Oxford Reporter on International Law at Oxford University Press in two of its modules: International Law in Domestic Courts and International Human Rights Law module where she contributes, and authors briefs and analysis of a case-law prominent in the field of international law and human rights.
Ms. Kruashvili holds three degrees, an LL.B (2012-2017) and LL.M degrees (2017-2019) in Public International Law from Tbilisi State University and an Advanced Masters degree in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and Rule of Law from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights (2019-2020). In addition, in 2022 she successfully completed the Intensive Program in European Law and Economy at Riga Graduate School of Law. She is actively involved in various academic programs and projects in the field of transitional justice, international law and human rights. She has been involved in international law moot court competitions since 2016, both nationally and internationally - as a participant, team coach and a judge. Additionally, Nanuka is a member of various law and academic associations aimed at improving the legal practice and civic engagement in Georgia.
Over the course of years Ms. Kruashvili has served as a legal expert, project coordinator, researcher and legal intern in the fields of public international law, migration law, international criminal and humanitarian law in various international and national non-governmental organizations and State institutions.
Nanuka is the author of dozens of articles and studies in the fields of international law, human rights, international criminal and humanitarian law, and transitional justice. She has also supervised numerous policy and research papers in the fields of rule of law, constitutional law and human rights.
