Karaman Pagava, MD, PhD, D.Sc., Professor, leads the course of Child & Adolescent Medicine. He completed qualification courses in Russia, Austria, Germany, United Kingdom. He is licensed to practice medicine in pediatrics, neonatology, pediatric rheumatology and gastroenterology, performed the duties of the chief pediatrician of Georgia, has 49 years of teaching experience. He guided 26 dissertations, delivered lectures/reports at St. Petersburg, Innsbruck, Bonn, Berlin, Saarbrucken, Oxford Universities. He is author of more than 600 publications (according to Scholar.google his citation index is over 3500, H-index=16, i10-index=22), led 5 grant projects. Has international scientific-organizational cooperation experience (WHO, UNICEF, PRINTO, J-PROJECT, EUTEACH, ARPEC, ICORD, EPIRARE), participated in more than 50 international conferences, is a member of the editorial boards of the scientific journals - Adolescent Medicine (Italy), Modern Pediatrics (Ukraine), Biomedical News of Georgia. He is awarded the Order of Honor, and the medal named after Ilia Chavchavadze.
