Dr. Tamar Tsertsvadze, PhD with high profile scientific publications. She has a good deal of expertise in participating, coordinating and supervising scientific projects. She has been awarded the Soros’ Foundation Award (2002), Scholarship of the World Federation of Scientist (2013-2014), as well as a special scholarship to attend the EAACI Congress 2018 held in Munich, German. In 2019, she won the Ivane Beritashvili Scholarship in Medical and Health Sciences. In 2021 she won the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation Scholarship for outstanding scientific activity and field development and for exceptional advances in science. Twice she has been awarded the Young scientists research grant by the National Science Foundation (Georgia) - Project YS15_2.3.1_106 (2015-2017) and Project YS_2018_042 (2018-2020), both researches were devoted to study the role of CD180 in pathogenesis of CLL. Dr. Tsertsvadze has a Certificate in Laboratory Medicine and therefore has a good insight into both clinical and fundamental aspects of CLL. She is an accomplished flow cytometrist and has been working with a wide variety of Flow Cytometers such as BD, Cyan and she is also familiar with the operational system of FacsCalibur. For several years Dr Tsertsvadze has acted as a Senior Flow Cytometry operator of the Diagnostic center affiliated to TSU and provided diagnostic services for the Childhood leukemia clinic. Dr. Tamar Tsertsvadze is also a dedicated and skilled researcher, the focus of her investigation mainly being in leukaemia.
