Levan Gelashvili is a film researcher, Doctor of Philology, and a invited lecturer at the University of Georgia. He has actively participated in international scientific conferences and forums, and has published research articles in international peer reviewed journals. Levan Gelashvili is the author of the books “Georgian Cinemas: Chronicles of 1920-1991” (2022) and “Georgian Avant-garde” (2021), a collection dedicated to the centenary of Georgian literary futurism and dadaism. He is also the author of the documentary film "Lost Paradiso" (2016) and has worked as a director and screenwriter for several short films, including: •"In the Shell" (2018) •"Apollo" (2019), shortlisted for the Depict 90-second film competition and screened in Bristol. •"Square" (2020) Throughout his career, Levan Gelashvili has contributed to various scientific research projects, including: • “Bibliography of Georgian Cinema” (2009) • “Georgian Cinema 1920-1929” (2020) • “Georgian Cinema 1930-1940” (2022) • “Georgian Science Fiction Anthology” (2022, co-editor) • “SERGEY TRETYAKOV - «SVANETIA» AND OTHER ESSAYS ABOUT GEORGIA” (Tbilisi, 2022) • Websie Georgian Avant-garde - https://avant-garde.iliauni.edu.ge/. Levan Gelashvili is the author of a collection of short stories "The Adventures of Me, You, and King Rostevan" 2020. (Collection of short stories, nominated for the "Litera" debut nomination). His short stories and scientific articles have been published in periodicals for more than 15 years. Notable projects he has carried out include: • The first colored illustrated Georgian board game “Knight in the Panther’s Skin”– National Project of the Year Award (2016) • Optical illusion toys "Pre-Cinema to Cinema" (2020) • Moving Planetarium (2021) and others.
