Philologist, Researcher of Georgian Language and Literature, Lecturer in Georgian as a Foreign Language
I am a philologist, researcher, and specialist in teaching Georgian as a foreign language. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Philology in 2020 and my Master’s degree in Philology in 2023. Since 2025, I have been pursuing a PhD in Philology and conducting doctoral research on “Features of Semantic Frame Transformation in the Context of the Gradation of Georgian Language Proficiency Levels.”
In 2021–2022, I worked at Alterbridge University, where I served as the Head of the Preparatory Course for University Applicants. Since 2021, I have also been working at Semita, an organization specializing in teaching Georgian to foreign-language learners. As part of my professional activities, I collaborate with the Embassies of the United Kingdom and Latvia in Georgia, teaching Georgian to members of the diplomatic missions, including the Deputy Ambassadors of the United Kingdom and Latvia.
In 2026, I joined The University of Georgia as a Lecturer in Georgian as a Foreign Language.
My academic interests include the study of semantic and lexico-grammatical structures in Georgian, changes in linguistic material across different levels of Georgian language proficiency, and educational resources used in teaching Georgian as a foreign language. In this field, I serve as an editor of the Biliki C1 Georgian language textbook.
I am a co-author of a scholarly publication and the book Women from the Past of Georgia. Following the publication of the book, I have participated in a number of thematic lectures and public events, including a seminar for 60 employees of a banking institution. I have also discussed the themes of the book on several television programs. In 2026, I participated in “Tan Sanakhavi,” a joint project of Silk TV and Artanuji Publishing, featuring a series of programs dedicated to the stories of remarkable women.
My professional activities bring together academic research, university teaching, teaching Georgian as a foreign language, and the promotion of Georgian culture and history.
