Nino Janelidze – professor in the University of Georgia. Since 2013 Dr. Janelidze works at the University of Georgia. She is teaching theoretical course of medical microbiology for international students. She successfully graduated at the Georgian Technical University and defended a Ph.D. in Biotechnology in 2009. Her 22-year scientific working experience is related to different directions of microbiology. Since 2000 she has been working at the G. Eliava institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Virology, as the leading scientist. Dr. Janelidze is a board member of scientific council of G. Eliava Institute, a member of The Georgian Association of General and Applied Microbiology (GAGAM), and one of the co-founders of G. Eliava foundation “Bacteriophage Development Association in Georgia “ . She has received professional qualification in the laboratories of leading European and American Universities ( Trinity College Dublin, Agricultural University of Athens, University of Wales, College Park, University of Washington etc. ), and was involved in training connected to her professional activity (grant writing and business administration, working with biological pathogens nonproliferation and bioethics , lab bioethics, biosafety and biosecurity, BLS3 training and etc. ), in Georgia, as well as abroad. Dr. Janelidze has participated in various international and local conferences. She has an experience in writing of the scientific proposals and managing the scientific projects. She was also a participant of 23 international scientific grant projects and has published around 60 scientific publications (Scientific articles and abstracts published in abstract books of various international conferences). Speaks several foreign languages (English, German, Russian)
