Tina Beruchashvili – MHA, MPA, PHD, Professor, lecturer at the University of Georgia. She was the architect and first general manager of National Screening Centre (State Cancer Screening Program executor) during 2008–2017; The topic of her PHD covers “Epidemiological Assessment of Cervical Cancer Screening Program Management in Tbilisi”. Mrs. Tina Beruchashvili participated in the international TEMPUS project of Tromso Arctic University (Norway), ESO (Italy). She is a member of US Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) and Europa Donna. In 2011, she was awarded the international award “Golden Otis” for the international recognition of Georgian Screening program (Poland). In 2016 she was awarded special ESO (European School of Oncologists) scholarship to conduct the scientific research at Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine, Cancer Prevention Center in London, UK. In 2009 Mrs. Tina Beruchashvili founded the first in Georgia breast cancer survivor’s organization, the “Winner Women’s Club” with a special aim to support survivors with physical and psychological rehabilitation, help their socialization and reintegration into the society. Tina Beruchashvili has implemented more than 20 local and international projects (Joint, Polish Aid, IWAG, USAID,) to support women cancer patients in Georgia. She is the author of 14 scientific publications and participated in the EU funding program for research and innovation project EU-TOPIA 2017-2019). Currently, Tina Beruchashvili is professor of the School of health Sciences University of Georgia and also involved in the European research project “Towards improved screening for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer in Eastern-Europe: Equitable, Actionable, Sustainable and Trustworthy—EU-TOPIA-EAST (2021-2026). From 2023, Tina Beruchashvili will be the coordinator of the PHD program at the University of Georgia within the framework of NCDC cooperation (#49777-NCDC) during the implementation of the Emory-Georgia research and educational project funded by the Fogarty Foundation.
