Samad Khaksar received his PhD degree in organic chemistry under the supervision of Prof.Akbar Heydar in 2009 at Tarbiat Modares University, Iran. In 2010, he joined the group of Prof.Dömling as a post-doc researcher at the University of Groningen. In 2011 and 2013 he was selected as superior researcher for his publication and research project. He also was selected as superior researcher in the province of Mazandaran. Presently, he is a professor at the University of Georgia, Tbilisi and head of a department of pharmaceutical chemistry. His current research interests are dedicated towards the development of novel organocatalyst, application of fluorinated alcohols in organic synthesis, drug design and macrocycle synthesis. To date he has published around 70 scientific publications with an h-index of 27.
