Egnate Shamugia was awarded an Academic degree of Master of Public Administration in 2019 at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs. In 2017 - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at Zugdidi State Teaching University. He has the status of a young scientist in the project. His main research interests are Institutional Economics, Law and Economics. Egnate is also interested in monetary policy, healthcare economics, and decentralization. In 2017-2019 he worked in the non-governmental organization "Georgia’s Reforms Associates (GRASS)" as an economic analyst (public policy, public sector economics). Also, in 2017-2018, he held the position of project consultant in "Saunje." Additionally, Egnate has several years of cooperation experience with various NGOs. Since 2019, Egnate Shamugia has been a researcher at the Research Institute of the University of Georgia - Gnomon Wise. He has also been writing for Business Media Georgia (bm.ge) since 2019, where his analytical articles cover economic issues in the region (South Caucasus, Russia, Turkey, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe). Among them, he writes for Forbes Georgia. Egnate Shamugia has prepared four working articles at the Research Institute (see: https://bit.ly/36MWPaR) and other publications.
