Tamar Bikashvili - Invited lecturer - leads the histology and embryology course. She received a PhD degree in Biology from I. Beritashvili Institute of Physiology (2002). Currently she is a Head-chief scientist of Neurotoxicology Laboratory. T. Bikashvili is an author of more than 50 publications; PI and participant of several scientific projects, co-organizer of several international workshops and symposia, participant of many international scientific conferences. Scientific interests: effect of trace and toxic metals and compounds on behavior and structural organization of the cerebral cortical and subcortical structures. She is a highly qualified specialist in behavioral tests as well as morphological techniques, including light, electron and AFM microscopy. T. Bikashvili is a reviewer of Springer Journals. Member of several scientific organizations: FENS, IBRO, Sigma-Xi.
