Technovation Girls Camp 2026

From August 21–25, the University of Georgia hosted Technovation Girls Camp 2026 in Bakuriani, the final stage of the Technovation Girls program, bringing together the project’s 20 best teams.

As part of the program, which has been held in dozens of countries around the world for 18 years, 230 high school girls in Georgia learned the fundamentals of programming and developing technology products and worked in teams to create technological solutions to real-world problems around them.

Camp participants and their mentors engaged in various scientific activities:

• They gained insights into the latest technologies during lectures conducted by University of Georgia professors and researchers Kakha Tavzarashvili, Irakli Noselidze, Nana Dikhaminjia, and Anastasia Guraspashvili;
• They familiarized themselves with startup methodologies through workshops led by experts Davit Chechelashvili and Ana Kintsurashvili;
• Worked on electronics projects under the guidance of engineer Giorgi Tsiklauri; 
• Began planning their careers in technology with mentorship from developer Salome Naskidashvili; 
• Created electronics projects, explored the interconnections between technological discoveries, learned, collaborated, and worked on transforming their ideas into technological solutions.

They had the opportunity to gain knowledge about modern technologies directly from professors and researchers at the University of Georgia. 

The University of Georgia hosts the program in Georgia, with Nana Dikhhaminjia and Salome Naskidashvili serving as its ambassadors. 

For the University of Georgia, it is important to create a space where girls can learn, create, experiment, collaborate, and turn their ideas into real projects. 

And this is not the end - the Technovation Girls program continues under the hosting of the University of Georgia. Applications for new participants will open in October. 

Technovation Girls Camp 2026 was held with the support of the project “Vocational Education in Georgia’s Growing Economic Sectors,” which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ.

The project’s main partners are: UN Women, Association of Teachers of Exact and Natural Sciences, ReThink, Quantum Computing Association, İşbank Georgia, Softgen Group, NB Legal, Idea Design Group, and Credo Bank.
