Develop Your Professional Skills, Gain Real-World Work Experience, and Take an Important Step Toward Your Career Development

Students of The University of Georgia have the opportunity to participate in a three-month paid internship program offered by public institutions.

The program provides students with the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge gained at university in a practical setting, gain insight into the specific nature of public sector operations, and acquire valuable professional experience in a real-world work environment.

Starting September 1, 2026, public institutions will announce a three-month paid internship competition for students.

Students interested in participating in the internship program can submit their applications from September 1 through September 10, 2026.

Applications will be accepted through the designated website, where students will be able to register for internship opportunities announced by various public institutions.

Who Can Participate in the Internship Program?

The internship program is open to Georgian citizens who meet one of the following criteria:

• Are currently enrolled in the final year of a first-cycle higher education (Bachelor’s) program;
• Are currently enrolled in a second-cycle higher education (Master’s) program; or
• Completed a first- or second-cycle higher education program during the spring semester of the 2025–2026 academic year.

Selection Criteria

One of the key selection criteria for internship candidates is academic performance, with applicants required to have:

• An academic score of 71–100, and/or
• A GPA of 2.7–4.0.

The selection process will consist of two stages:

1. Application screening;
2. Interview.

In cases where candidates are considered equally qualified, preference at the interview stage will be given to candidates with higher academic performance.

Internship Period

Selected candidates will complete their internships from October 1 through December 31, 2026.
