The research of Irakli Samkharadze, Professor at the School of Law, University of Georgia, titled “From External Pressure to Internal Reform: Legal Pathways to Carbon Market Integration Through CBAM in Southeast Europe,” has been published as a chapter in the international scientific monograph Sustainable Energy: Still United in Diversity?, issued by The University of Groningen Press.
The chapter examines the impact of the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), with a particular focus on its role in driving legal and institutional reforms across Southeast European countries.
