The research of Irakli Samkharadze - From External Pressure to Internal Reform: Legal Pathways to Carbon Market Integration Through CBAM in Southeast Europe

 

The research of Irakli Samkharadze, Professor at the School of Law, University of Georgia, titled “From External Pressure to Internal Reform: Legal Pathways to Carbon Market Integration Through CBAM in Southeast Europe,” has been published as a chapter in the international scientific monograph Sustainable Energy: Still United in Diversity?, issued by The University of Groningen Press.

The chapter examines the impact of the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), with a particular focus on its role in driving legal and institutional reforms across Southeast European countries.

The publication is peer-reviewed and indexed in the Scopus database, underscoring the high international academic standard and global recognition of the research conducted at the School of Law of the University of Georgia.
