NextGen Voices is an international educational platform created under the initiative of EJTA, aimed at enhancing students’ media literacy and journalistic competencies, as well as increasing their engagement in European journalistic discourse.
From February 24 to March 2, 2025, students and an academic representative from the University of Georgia participated in an international educational project held at the University of Zagreb in Croatia. The project’s goal was to provide students with professional experience and practical knowledge aligned with contemporary European standards in journalism and mass communications.
University of Georgia students worked alongside other international participants and mentors following the Newsroom principle. Over the course of one week, students produced multimedia journalistic content using modern storytelling techniques.
The journalistic products created during the project will be published on the NextGen Voices platform and partner organizations’ media channels. This project significantly contributed to developing students’ research, storytelling, and critical analysis skills.
