In the context of globalization, the development of modern technologies, and an increasingly competitive environment, it has become essential for organizations to hire high-potential personnel. According to contemporary research, recruiting and supporting the development of talents within organizations is a successful strategy in many respects: it increases organizational efficiency and productivity, reduces the need to hire external leaders, and prevents losses caused by poor hiring decisions. The key to success lies in the organization's ability to identify and recruit high-potential employees early on, invest in their development, and prepare them for future leadership roles.
To study talent identification practices in leading organizations in Georgia.
The students’ activities will focus on three main directions:
Collecting information about the definition of talent in leading Georgian organizations; how organizational management and HR professionals define talent and high-potential employees.
Identifying tools (objective measurement methods) used by organizational management or HR professionals to identify talents.
Gathering information on the characteristics, personal traits, and other attributes considered important by management and HR professionals for talents.
Research and review existing literature and present findings to the working group within set deadlines.
Participate in creating questionnaires to be used in organizations.
Prepare the format and procedures for conducting focus groups in organizations, as needed.
Definition of talent based on surveys conducted in Georgian organizations.
Identification of characteristics that define talent in Georgian organizations based on survey results.
Identification of tools used by leading organizations for talent identification.
