On October 15, a public lecture was held by Giorgi Donadze, Chairperson of the Georgian Suicide Prevention Association, on the topic: "Suicide and Effective Suicide Prevention Mechanisms."
Giorgi Donadze is a mental health specialist, a trainer certified by the Council of Europe in suicide prevention, and Chairperson of the Georgian Suicide Prevention Association.
According to data from the World Health Organization, approximately 800,000 people die by suicide annually worldwide, with a significant portion belonging to the age group of 15 to 29 years.
The WHO’s key recommendation is for governments to develop policies aimed at reducing suicide mortality and raising public awareness on this issue.

What is suicide? — Definition of the term, general facts, and myths about suicide;
Signs of suicidal behavior (predictors);
Responsible media coverage of the suicide topic;
Key messages: how to carry out suicide prevention and how to help those in need of assistance.
