The University of Georgia announces registration for the creative entrance examination for the Bachelor’s Program in Georgian Dance or Choreography of World Folk Dances.
Registration is open until May 29, 5:00 PM via the university’s official website. The program is designed for applicants interested in Georgian and world folk dance choreography and professional development in the field.
The creative examination consists of two stages:
Stage I — Selection Round
Applicants will be assessed in:
* Musical hearing
* Sense of rhythm
* Musical memory
* Basic movement skills
Participants must present:
* A prepared dance combination (24–32 musical counts) with an MP3 music track
* An improvised dance combination created on-site within 5 minutes
Stage II — Choreographic Presentation
Applicants must present a self-choreographed folk dance performance (maximum 3 minutes) and briefly discuss their work. Sharp props such as swords or daggers are not allowed.
Examination Dates:
* Stage I — May 31, 11:00 AM
* Consultations — June 2–6
* Stage II — June 7
