On October 10, at 12:00 PM, the University of Georgia’s School of Health Sciences will host an event dedicated to World Mental Health Day. Georgia is joining the annual global campaign, and under the university’s auspices, a roundtable discussion will be held around this year’s theme: “Mental Health in Humanitarian Emergencies.”
Experts in the field will deliver presentations on the main topic – mental health in humanitarian emergencies. The second part of the meeting will focus on a pressing issue for the country: managing mental health risks related to gambling.
Participants invited to the roundtable discussion include representatives of the University of Georgia, Georgian immunologist and professor at the University of Georgia, Amiran Gamkrelidze; Director of the School of Health Sciences, Tamar Lobzhanidze; professors Nana Zavradashvili, Natia Skhvitardze, and Giorgi Bakhturidze; as well as civil activist Tamar Japaridze.
